Tie Side Jersey Dress Workshop - 11th July

Sew a jersey dress with a difference! This knit dress with its cleverly constructed tie detail is super comfortable to wear yet incredibly stylish.

Estelle hits at the on-trend midaxi length (between a midi and a maxi) and looks great with heels, boots or trainers, with or without tights, so you can wear it all year round! Choose between short, 3/4 length or long sleeves and make Estelle with a straight or a slightly wider skirt with side splits. The pattern includes two different split notches, so you can make them higher or lower, depending on your preference.

This is a dress that can look casual, sophisticated or sassy, depending on the fabric you choose. Make Estelle in a viscose or bamboo jersey for a slinky version that hugs the body, or pick a light cotton jersey for an everyday dress that can be elevated with just a change of footwear. Use a sparkly jersey or a stretch velvet to make a stunning party dress for the festive season or a winter wedding!

We would advise you to call in for the pattern and fabric before the workshop. If you are unable to call in please let us know and we will arrange to post the pattern to you. We always advise to have your pattern pieces ready before the workshop. 

You would need to be a confident beginner and know your way around your sewing machine. We will open at 9.30am to set up for a 10am start and will finish at 3. You can either bring your own fabrics or pop along to the shop beforehand to purchase your fabric with 10% discount. We recommend using light to medium weight knit fabrics such as viscose or bamboo jersey or French terry and lightweight cotton jersey.

Bookings can be paid for through our website or in store.

The hours allocated for the workshop should give enough time to complete the pattern however mistakes and personal ability may mean finishing off in your own time.

If you are unable to attend the workshops for any reason and inform us before the 27th June we will refund in full. 

If you let us know after the 27th June we will consider the circumstances.

If you are running late for the workshop you must let us know as late arrivals will affect the progress of the rest of the group.

If the workshop is cancelled we will make every effort to rearrange it. Alternatively you would be entitled to a full refund or shop voucher.
